I took my first cruise vacation in March, 2005 in the Southern Caribbean. It was an all gay cruise through Atlantis on a Celebrity ship. We visited the ports of San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Grenada and Aruba. I was struck by the fact that these islands were so mountainous and resembled little tropical. In fact, Aruba is a desert. Grenada was severely struck by a hurricane this past fall and it still showed much damage from it. The cruise was wonderful.
