HornyHounDogs is the gay sex sister site from the producers of BukBuddies. Unlike BukBuddies in which only straight guys acting straight are displayed, HornyHounDogs shows both gay and straight for pay guys having sex.

Videos are presented in both flash and windows media format. The flash version downloaded better and was viewable almost instantaneously. Extensive photo galleries accompany each video and these galleries are multi-layered to some degree similar to BukBuddies. The photos and video are HD and are excellent. Again, you can hear the distracting click of a still camera during the videos that reminds you that the performers are not there alone. The audio in all three videos that I sampled had some rough spots.

At HornyHounDogs, the filmmakers make an attempt to develop a plot, but do not seem to block out the scenes with the performers beforehand as they have a tendency to look at the cameraman for direction. Some of the plots take too long to get to the sex. One video I watched had the three performers outside playing in the snow and playing cards and table games well before you saw any dick. The sex was mediocre between them.

The second video I sampled had a nice plot about movers who are moving a water bed. I had to laugh when their shirts had a paper sign pinned to the back of their shirts with the name of the moving company. They enter the apartment, find the water bed but have difficulty finding the drain although we already see the hose hooked up to it. As you might guess, they jump on the water bed to help it empty and for some unknown reason strip to their underwear. Sex occurs with one of the performers shooting a nice load all over the face of the other mover. Then the cumfaced mover gets up and goes over to a chair and starts beating off to a straight porn magazine leaving the other guy on the bed. He looks at the camera and says something like that's what you get when straight guys try to gay porn. The second mover finally returns after beating himself off in time to spurt over the face of the first mover.

The third video that I sampled had to guys lifting weights. They discuss how nice a previous first encounter was. The one guy says that he would like to try to get fucked this time. If it was not his first time, he did an excellent job of faking it. He attempted to take the other guy's dick and had difficulty getting it in. After some more prep, it eventually does go in and they take it as slow as you experienced during your first time. I found this one hot and realistic.

All-in-all, HornyHounDogs would be a better site if the plots focused more on the sex and less on over-developed, forced and extended plots and if the actors were briefed about their parts in the plot. But most of the guys are hot, the photography is excellent and the scenes are varied. This site got me hard but did not elicit an orgasm so I have to say...

Before I get into the meat of my review, I'd like to remind our faithful readers that Darling Dennis is getting on and simply doesn't have the patience you and I do. So, Dear Reader, when D. Dennis makes a comment along the lines of 'Some of the plots take too long to get to the sex. One video I watched had the three performers outside playing in the snow and playing cards and table games well before you saw any dick,' just think about who wrote it and remember how impatient he can be.

Now, here's my take on HornyHounDogs.

Great place - truly. Some episodes could have been thought through a bit better, the editing is a little rough here and there, but face it, folks. Nothing's perfect.

What I really enjoy about HHD is the verve and ingenuity. We surf in an era when you can't swing your mouse by its tail without hitting something touting itself as a "reality" site, most of which really don't come anywhere close to earning the title.

Rather than plot things to some enth degree, the philosophy at HHD seems to be "bring the men in, get them comfortable, give them the basics, and see what happens."

And, personally, I don't mind one bit when some time is spent showing the characters goofing off. I'm not into video quickies any more than I am quickies in real life.

In particular, I enjoyed Trevor & Toby in "Dirty Pool 5" - two very homespun guys of average looks compete to determine just whom will be blowing who. Problem is, they're both such lousy players it ends up being a free-for-all and Trevor, who looks to win initially, gets a really decent facial in the end.

Is it real? No - but it is just real enough to bring back fond memories of a few my shenanigans - or yours, perhaps...

That's what this site is basically all about: starting that old imaginational ball rolling, using believable guys in believable settings.

Photo quality runs somewhere between Very Good and Good; some of the early episodes could have used a bit more attention to lighting, but the newer stuff is fine and dandy.

As far as site design itself, we've been notified that HHD is scheduled for a complete rebuild some time in the very near future. The site as it is now is attractive and works well, but as a web developer I can yield up an educated guess that it's a real bitch to maintain based on the software used.

That said, I'm pretty sure I'll be washing linens tomorrow - a few of the videos I watched tonight, writing this review, seem to be stuck in my mind...
